The Pure Voices concert series began in 2006 and has grown in popularity ever since. The concerts are staged over two nights in July at the Union Chapel, one of the countries leading live music venues, and feature 600 young singers from Islington primary schools.

Each year 3 massed songs are selected from a wide variety of genres to ensure the children have as broad a musical experience as possible. These songs are interspersed with performances from each of the individual school choirs who chose their own song and sing it in their own way. There is always a live band to accompany the massed songs and they are also available to perform with any choir who wishes to use them.

Pure Voices isn't a competition, it is a chance to celebrate singing. We welcome choirs who are performing in public for the first time as well as welcoming back performers who we have seen grow and develop over a number of years.

If your choir would like to perform at Pure Voices please get in touch with us by sending an email to or use the form on our contact page.
